The Art faculty at The Avon Valley School is a creative and exciting place to be. We are an enthusiastic team of teachers who pride ourselves on getting the best out of our students and strive to ensure that they all reach their full potential, whatever their ability. During their journey through the world of art, students will look at a range of artists, use a multiple of media and learn a vast amount of new skills. Our aims are to challenge and inspire students and provide engaging and innovative learning experiences.

Experimenting with a range of techniques and media to promote independent, creative thinking, students will be able to express thoughts and feelings through outcomes and learn to appreciate art throughout their lives
Students to take ownership of their own work and look at their own ideas and themes which is then supported by the teacher.
In year 9 students also complete the Trinity Arts Award bronze certificate – where they develop new skills or improve skills they already have, review their own personal arts experiences, look at performing arts inspiration and become teachers of skills themselves.
