At The Avon Valley School and Performing Arts College we are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare and safety of all students, and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. As a school we are alert to the signs of abuse and neglect and follow our procedures to ensure that children receive effective support and protection.
Safeguarding includes child protection, health care plans, health and safety, site security, safety on school trips, anti-bullying work and so much more. The school adheres to the latest editions of Keeping Children Safe in Education, Working Together to Safeguard Children, the Teacher’s Standards and The Prevent Duty.
Our procedures and policies apply to all staff, volunteers and governors and are consistent with those of Warwickshire Safeguarding Children Board (WSCB). Our Safeguarding & Child Protection Policy can be found on the policies section of this website.
